lights at the front of the canal.
Asphalting should begin in the next couple of weeks.

Section
Reports
Section 1 – Chris
Peel (home
owner on
Section 2 – Linda
addressed a
lawn problem, trash, and a downed fence which were pre-Ike. A
letter was
sent to the property owner regarding his lawn not being mowed for over
6 months
and no reply was received. The trash issue was addressed and corrected
when the
city could access that section of Camino. Sewer work was blocking
Camino. She never
got a chance to address the fence issue as Ike came after she
was notified of the problem.
There are cars on Camino which they are trying to get titles to so the
cars can
be removed.
Section 4 – The
roads are good;
car on the road and in the canal have been removed and the boat is gone.
Section 5 – There
is no
water, no power, water on the road. Some
homes have made no attempt to try and clean up.
Section 7 – There
are serious
road issues and still homes to be cleaned up.
Marina Section –
all OK
Presidents
Report – Bob Majewski
Bob discussed how
difficult
it was right after the storm to get information out and how everyone
had tried
their best; a lot of people had no internet, phone service, etc. Did start using the
web-site which seemed to work out well.
He apologized for
not getting
any city officials for the meeting today.
Bob then informed everyone that Karen Mahoney will be in the
neighborhood next weekend to access the damage.
There is no deadline for connecting the sewer.
A & H Electric is working on the
electricity in the neighborhood. We will
try to work on the pool and boat docks as much as possible to try to
save costs
to the residents. Will try to get as
much debris out of the canals as possible, but will be able to do more
after
the water goes down a little and we can see exactly what’s there. If anyone has lost their garbage cans or they
are broke you can call 797-3630.
New
Business
Building permits
were
discussed; especially the best time to wait in line to get a permit.
Also discussed in
great
detail the time frame for getting the neighborhood cleaned up; it was
suggested
that the neighborhood do as much of the cleanup as possible not waiting
on the
city, county, etc.
Linda Vaccaro
made a motion to set aside $5000 for “Ike clean up” in the common areas
if the
city hasn’t done anything by November 30th.
Phyllis Clarey
seconded the motion. Motion passed.
The work day was
discussed. Plan is to work on the pool
and pump, boat dock, and just get a lot of the trash picked up around
the
neighborhood.
Motion was made to
adjourn
the meeting. Motion was seconded and
passed. Meeting was adjourned 9:50 AM.
Respectfully
submitted,
Alice Lincecum
